Our Policies A-Z

Breakfast
• Breakfast is an extensive, continental, self-serve, buffet available 24 hours daily. Hot 
  breakfast is included with some reservations.
• Breakfast varies depending upon whether your stay is a weekday or weekend, time, type 
  and length of reservation, and/or time of departure.  
Cancellations
• Because we are only a 5 rooms facility, cancellations affect us enormously. We understand 
  that sometimes circumstances are beyond your control. However, we have turned away 
  other customers for your reservation. Thus, when making a reservation, make sure that you 
  are committed to your stay at the Harrington House. 
• Cancellations made after 4 p.m. less than 48-hours (2 days) in advance are responsible for 
  two (2) nights when cancelling multiple night reservations.
 Cancellations made before 4 p.m. more than 48-hours in advance incurr no additional  
  charges if deposit has been paid.  If you have made a full payment, we will refunded you all 
  monies paid less a service fee equal to our room-guarantee deposit for all nights reserved.
• Visits shortened after arrival require notification by 11 a.m. 48-hours or more in advance to 
  receive refund less service fee. 
• Weekly and monthly discounted rates are paid in advance and no refunds are issued.  
• Groups, weekends, special events and holidays have specific cancellations requirements.
Housekeeping
• Rooms and baths are refreshed daily during your stay.
• Clean towels may be requested at any time.
• Linens are changed every 3-4 days during extended stays. 
• House is normally closed from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. for 
  housekeeping. Registered guests are welcome to stay in their 
  room or use common rooms during these hours, however, 
  please be aware that cleaning noises and activity will be taking 
  place. 
• Please help us keep the house clean by taking off boots/shoes 
  or using cover-ups provided at front door.
Internet
• Wireless, high-speed service is available throughout house 
  including guest rooms.
• Internet connected PC for public use is located in Business 
  Center.
• HH is not liable for any problems that may occur to your 
  computer due to viruses or power surges and is not responsible 
  for loss or damage to equipment or data. 
Liability
• All guests stay at their own risk and assume responsibility for 
  their own actions or actions by members of their group to 
  whom the guests is responsible, especially children. 
Luggage
• Luggage may be loaded and unloaded while temporarily 
  parking at front entrance.
• Assistance is available upon request.
Meals
• HH prepares breakfast only.
• Several restaurants are within walking distance and many more 
  within a short drive.
• Eagles Mere Country Club dining is available subject to Club’s 
  hours and availability.
Non-registered Guests 
• Non-registered guests are not permitted in rooms or to utilize 
  common areas or to eat breakfast without approval of 
  innkeepers. 
• For the safety, security and consideration of all our guests, 
  please do not invite others back for tours or gatherings or 
  overnight stays without innkeeper’s approval.  Management 
  must know who is in house at all times. If it is evident that 
  non-registered guests are staying overnight with you in your 
  room, all will be asked to leave and an additional $250 per day 
  will be billed to your credit card for theft of services. Rooms 
  have a maximum occupancy. Upon notification of additional 
  guests and if room occupancy levels allow, a fee of $20 per 
  person/night is charged. 


Parking
• Four parking spaces are available on upper level at each end of 
  main driveway. Spaces are not reserved, but available on a first  
  come-first serve basis.
• There is additional parking around the rear of building. When 
  parking in rear, use side steps to front door entrance. 
• Please feel free to park at front door entrance when loading and 
  unloading.
Pets /Smoking
• We are a pet-free/smoke-free facility. 
• No cooking, candles or open flames are permitted.
• Smoking inside, bringing a pet (no matter how "perfect,") burning 
  candles or cooking will result in an additional $250 charged to credit 
  card.
Quiet Hours
• Out of respect for all guests, quiet hours are from 11 p.m. - 7 a.m.
• After 9 p.m. and before 9 a.m., please keep decibels low and 
  observe considerate noise levels. 
Safety
• House is equipped with fire alarms linked to a 24 hour monitoring 
  service.
• Emergency lighting operates during power outages.
• Fire exits and fire escape windows are marked throughout house.
• For the security of everyone, use of HH's guest rooms, common 
  rooms and grounds are for registered guests only.

• Personal information gathered at time of booking is never shared 
  with a third party unless it is requested/required by law enforcement 
  entities. Information is encrypted and stored off-site.
• Coded locks secure entry and room doors. 
Service Charges
• Please leave HH in the same general condition as when you arrived.
• Guests are kindly requested to provide prompt notice of any 
  accidents that result in carpet or fabric spoilage, item breakage or  
  other damage. We reserve the right to charge guest's credit card for 
  damage beyond normal use or for additional cleaning cost for rooms 
  left in an unusually dirty state. 
• We reserve the right to charge guest's credit card a replacement 
  fee for towels or other items missing from room after checkout. 
• A $250 per day penalty is charged for any of the following: smoking, 
  pets, cooking, non-registered guests, damaged or missing items 
  and cleaning cost. 
• We will gladly send items left in room via US Postal Service, 
   priority or overnight mail (your choice). Exact amount plus a $10 
   handling fee. 
X-tra Notices
• HARRINGTON HOUSE is privately owned and management 
  reserves the right to refuse services to anyone.
• Management reserves the right to interpret all policies.
• Management will not be responsible for injury to guests or 
  damage/loss to property or valuables.
• Prices, amenities and policies are subject to change at any time.

Check In/Check Out
• Guest may check in between 4p.m. - 10 p.m. (Please call if you 
   will be arriving later).
• Checkout is 11 a.m. or earlier.
• Early check-ins (without prior approval) and all late checkouts 
  are subject to additional fees.
Children
• Well-behaved, supervised children of all ages are welcome. 
  (Please no running, jumping or shoes on furniture/beds).  
• Children under age 8 are free when using existing beds.
• Cribs are available for $10 per night.
Concessions
• Complimentary water, hot/cold drinks
• Ice machine
• Microwave
• Toaster oven
Drugs/Alcohol
• No excessive alcohol use is permitted.
• Zero tolerance for drug use on premises will be enforced.
• Under the above circumstances, you may be asked to leave and 
  no money will be refunded
